Cannabis School Opens In Pontiac, Michigan

Higher Learning Institutions, a cannabis vocational and technical school, held an open house Feb. 15 for its flagship school in Pontiac, Michigan. The school offers hands-on job training, educational certificates, career development, internships, free monthly seminars and job opportunities and placements in the cannabis industry.

A five-week budtending course will begin in March. The course will teach students the history of cannabis, special customer service, budtending, back of house procedures, and state and city laws. Other courses offered include cultivation, extraction and soon a safety and compliance course. Registration is now open for the course, which costs $399.

Courses covering growing, cultivation, extraction and patient care in medical marijuana dispensaries will all be open by summer, Oakland Press reports.
